MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 27 mm, 11.98 g, 1 h), circa 85-76. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; between the snake heads, MH above monogram of ΠPY; to left, monogram of ΠΕΡΓ; to right, serpent-entwined staff. Kleiner 41. SNG Paris 1745-6. Harshly cleaned and struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.
